Girl Band, Girl Band, Girl Band. This project means a lot to us and has been through many iterations. The one you see on this page is the short film we made about a fictional band and an album of the band’s music. We started developing Girl Band in college with our friend Cailin Lowry. The concept was four girls in a band move to LA. We knew we wanted it to be a TV show, so we made a short film as a proof of concept about the day the band leaves their hometown. We wrote, directed, edited, and composed songs for the film, entered it into film festivals, and ended up premiering it at Tribeca! Then we sold it to Freeform as an hour-long TV series. We wrote the pilot and some songs but it ultimately didn’t get picked up. We’ve taken a bit of a break from it to work on other projects, but Girl Band is one that we want to make eventually.
